General Information

What is VitalPath Rx?
VitalPath Rx is a modern, full-service pharmacy network. We combine state-of-the-art medical logistics with patient-first care, allowing you to seamlessly manage, refill, and receive your prescriptions safely and quickly.
Where are your physical locations?
We currently operate four main hub locations across the United States to ensure fast delivery and local support: Wood Ridge (NJ), Gilbert (AZ), Murphy (TX), and Las Vegas (NV).
Are your pharmacists available for consultation?
Yes! Our licensed pharmacists are available 24/7 to answer your questions regarding medication side effects, drug interactions, or general health concerns. You can schedule a telehealth call or phone consultation at any time.
How do I create a patient account?
You can create an account by clicking the "Sign Up" button on our homepage. You will need to provide your basic contact information, shipping address, and current insurance details to get started.
Is my personal and medical information secure?
Absolutely. VitalPath Rx is 100% HIPAA-compliant. We use bank-level encryption (AES-256) and strict access controls to ensure your protected health information (PHI) remains entirely confidential and secure.
Can I pick up my medication in person?
Yes. While we specialize in fast, free delivery, patients who live near our hub locations in NJ, AZ, TX, and NV are welcome to pick up their medications directly from our local pharmacy counters during business hours.
How can I contact customer support?
Our patient support team is available 24/7. You can reach us by calling +1 (734) 564-2110, via the live chat in your patient portal, or by emailing the location nearest to you.

Prescriptions & Refills

How do I transfer an existing prescription to you?
Transferring is easy! Simply call our support line at +1 (734) 564-2110 or fill out the transfer form in your account dashboard. Provide your current pharmacy's information and the name of your medication, and our team will handle the entire transfer process with your doctor and old pharmacy.
Can my doctor send a prescription directly to VitalPath Rx?
Yes. Ask your doctor to e-prescribe directly to the VitalPath Rx location nearest you. We are registered in the national e-prescribing database (Surescripts).
Do you offer automatic refills?
Absolutely. You can enroll in our Auto-Refill program, and we will automatically process and ship your maintenance medications before you run out. We will send you a text or email notification before it ships so you can make changes if needed.
How do I know when my prescription is out of refills?
Your prescription label will indicate the number of refills remaining. Additionally, your online patient portal will track your refills. If you run out, we will proactively contact your doctor to request a new prescription on your behalf.
Can I get a 90-day supply of my medication?
Yes! If your doctor writes the prescription for a 90-day supply and your insurance allows it, we are happy to dispense and ship a 3-month supply. This often saves you money on copays and is more convenient.
Do you dispense controlled substances?
Yes, we dispense controlled substances in strict accordance with federal (DEA) and state regulations. Please note that controlled substances may require a signature upon delivery and cannot be placed on auto-refill.
Do you offer compounding services?
We offer limited, non-sterile compounding at select locations. If you have a specific compounding need, please contact our pharmacy team to confirm if we can accommodate your prescription.
What happens if my medication is out of stock?
Due to our large network, we rarely experience prolonged out-of-stock issues. However, if a manufacturer backorder occurs, our pharmacists will immediately contact your doctor to find a suitable alternative to ensure your treatment is not interrupted.
How do I manage prescriptions for my family members?
You can add dependents (children, spouses, or elderly parents you care for) to your primary VitalPath Rx account. This allows you to manage refills, track shipments, and pay bills for your entire family from one convenient dashboard.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery typically takes 1 to 3 business days, depending on your proximity to one of our hub locations. Expedited overnight shipping is also available upon request for urgent medications.
Does medication shipping cost extra?
No. We offer free standard shipping on all prescription medications to ensure there are no hidden barriers to getting the care you need. Expedited overnight shipping may incur a small fee unless clinically necessary.
How do I track my order?
As soon as your medication leaves our facility, you will receive an email and text message with a secure tracking link. You can also view the real-time status of your delivery in your online patient portal.
Do I need to sign for my delivery?
Standard medications do not require a signature and will be securely left in your mailbox or at your door. However, controlled substances, specialty medications, and high-value orders legally require an adult signature upon delivery.
Do you ship medications that require refrigeration?
Yes. Cold-chain and specialty medications are securely packed with temperature-controlled materials (such as gel packs and insulated liners) and are shipped via expedited overnight delivery to ensure they remain at the required temperature upon arrival.
Can I change my shipping address after an order is placed?
If your order has not yet been processed by our pharmacy team, you can update the address in your portal or by calling us. Once the package has been handed over to the courier, we are legally unable to reroute prescription medications.
What if my package is lost, stolen, or damaged?
If your package does not arrive or arrives damaged, please contact our support team immediately at +1 (734) 564-2110. We will work with the courier to investigate and immediately dispatch a replacement medication to ensure you don't miss a dose.
Do you deliver on weekends?
Our standard shipping partners deliver Monday through Saturday. Sunday delivery is not standard, but emergency local couriers can be arranged in specific urgent situations for patients located near our hubs.
Do you ship internationally?
No. Due to complex international pharmacy laws and customs regulations, VitalPath Rx is only licensed to ship prescription medications within the 50 United States and Washington D.C.

Insurance & Billing

What insurance providers do you accept?
VitalPath Rx accepts most major commercial insurance plans, Medicare Part D, and select Medicaid programs. If you are unsure about your specific plan, please give us a call and we can verify your benefits in minutes.
What if I don't have insurance?
We believe healthcare should be accessible to everyone. We offer transparent, highly competitive cash pricing for uninsured patients. We also automatically apply any available manufacturer coupons or discount cards to lower your out-of-pocket costs.
How do I pay my copay or bill?
You can securely pay your copay via the secure payment link sent to your email or mobile phone when your prescription is processed. You can also save a payment method to your account for seamless auto-refill billing.
Can I use my FSA or HSA card?
Yes! We gladly accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) debit cards for copays and eligible over-the-counter medical expenses.
Why did my copay change?
Copays are determined exclusively by your insurance provider, not the pharmacy. Copays may change if you meet your deductible, if your insurance plan's formulary changes at the start of a new year, or if your doctor changes your dosage. Our billing team is happy to help you understand your explanation of benefits.
What happens if my insurance requires prior authorization?
If your insurance rejects a claim requiring prior authorization (PA), our dedicated PA team will immediately step in. We will contact your doctor's office, compile the necessary medical paperwork, and submit it directly to your insurance company to get your medication approved as quickly as possible.
Do you provide itemized receipts for tax purposes?
Yes. You can download and print a fully itemized, IRS-compliant report of your yearly out-of-pocket pharmacy expenses directly from your patient portal at any time.

Specialty Medications

What are specialty medications?
Specialty medications are high-cost, high-complexity drugs used to treat chronic or rare conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, HIV, and oncology. They often require special handling (like refrigeration) and ongoing clinical monitoring, which VitalPath Rx is fully equipped to provide.
Do you offer financial assistance for expensive specialty medications?
Yes. Our dedicated patient navigators proactively search for manufacturer copay assistance programs, non-profit grants, and foundation funding to help dramatically lower the out-of-pocket costs associated with expensive specialty drugs.
Will someone teach me how to take my specialty medication?
Absolutely. Many specialty medications involve self-injections or complex dosing schedules. Our clinical pharmacists provide personalized, one-on-one telehealth training sessions to ensure you are entirely comfortable and confident administering your medication.
How do you ensure my specialty medication stays cold during shipping?
We use advanced, validated cold-chain logistics. Your medication is packed in specialized insulated coolers with medical-grade refrigerant packs. We use overnight priority shipping, and our system tracks the weather along the route to adjust packing materials as necessary.
